In today’s athletic competition there is no time off. Athletes are required to perform and compete three times more than what they used to. Therefore, the risk for injuries increases exponentially. At 360, we train athletes to meet modern day physical demands while practicing techniques and using equipment that reduces the chance of injury.
We have seen in sports like tennis, soccer, baseball, football, basketball, lacrosse, hockey and others, that the strongest does not always win. This is because we have tried to simplify a process that is far more complicated than what traditional training has presented as a solution. The classic off-court/off-field cycles that focus singularly on physical training no longer apply. Instead, neuroscientists have discovered that the brain plays a huge role in athletic development. We fail to remember that sports is not just about running, squatting, stretching or 300lb press. It requires us to move fast, make decisions in a split second, and repeat the same movements multiple of times in varied positions under pressure several days in a row under varying circumstances. Therefore, a methodology that teaches you to lift a weight, flip a tire, and perform cardiovascular exercise for example, is ideal if your desire is to burn calories, but it is not the only challenge for those training to excel in sports. Simplifying training to one variable will only leave today’s athletes coming up short in the specific arenas where they compete.
At 360-Athlete we take a much more holistic approach that flexes the muscles of both the brain and body, to increase an athlete’s all-around strength, shape, speed and mobility. Athletes will learn to build endurance while resisting injury and to become more confident in movements and in mind.
Results will not come from jumping, running, or getting stronger alone. But for those that are willing to commit the time to train harder, longer, faster, and smarter… for those who are prepared to become today’s complete athlete… 360 Training is for you.
